Today we were greeted with another beautiful day as we entered the port of Katakolon. Katakolon is a beuatiful little seaside village that is the access point to Olympia – the birth place of the Olympics. A really interesting place and certainly worth a visit.
Our third port was to visit Athens. With seven cruise ships docked at Athens this morning it was always going to be busy. And it was.! By the time we exited the Parthenon at 11am there was a three hour wait to get in.
Our second port of discovery is the beautiful islands of Mykonos – with its narrow winding streets filled with lots of colour, and the fascinating archelogical site of Delos predating Popii by 700 years.
The first stop on our Royal Caribbean cruise is Santorini, with beautiful hilltop townships and iconic township of Oia with white washed buildings, marble streets and blue domes.
After another big year for Deb we are once again very fortunate to be able to traveling to far off lands to have amazing adventures while having the opportunity to explore, relax and hang out with friends we have made from all over the world. Thanks to Stampin’ Up! we start our trip with a Greek Island cruise and then we head off on our own to do some exploring in Europe.
