After everything that has happened in 2020, we really shouldn’t take time for granted. Sixteen years ago I started to plan a trip around Australia, it is time to pull out the plans and dust them off before too much more time passes.
For a number of years I struggled to find a camp chair for motorcycle camping that was small, light and comfortable. No you don’t need a chair but its nice to sit and have a cuppa at the end of the day.
I remember when I finally threw out the tripod chair in disgust and hit google trying to find a suitable option. My requirements, small, light, it had to have a back, and it had to be comfortable. This is when I found Helinox.

This weekend wasn’t about a big ride. It was a chance to simply get out for a ride in the mountains, do some camping, and just hang out with a couple of mates. A chance to escape the city and just be in the moment. Enjoy the scenery, the road, and the angry growl of a 14 echoing off mountain walls. Just enjoying being alive.

With Deb away for a Stampin’ Up conference in Melbourne I was at a loose end. So on Saturday after a quick run around the house getting all (most) of those weekend jobs done (mostly), I threw my camping gear and some basic supplies on the bike for an overnight camping trip … somewhere.
