If there was one word that best describes my daughter Megan’s wedding it would be joyous.
While the lead-up to the big day was rocky with all sorts of things going wrong leaving us wondering whether it was worth it. In the end it all went off without a hitch. The day was perfect for an outside wedding. Goldcreek Station was the perfect location – so close to Canberra but felt a million miles from the city. The small number of guests had a nice intimate feeling that was just lovely. And the whole day was just a lot of fun with loads of laughter. It was a shoes off chilled event.
Towards the end of the night I noticed Tanya from Red Photography still hanging around – and she just said I’m having a great time and just wanted to hang around. That sums it up.
A few photos
They even had their dog Theodore as the ring bearer.
After singing at my eldest daughter’s wedding a few years ago, Megan asked if I would sing at her wedding also and asked me to sing “I Loved Her First” by Heartland of which I had to bring down a number of keys to get into my range. It certainly wasn’t perfect and I hate having to use words but song lyrics just don’t stick in my head.
Don’t worry I’m not giving up my day job.
What a joyous day.
That was just beautiful. Everyone looked so lovely and I cried when you sang that song. I can remember you visiting us when the girls were very small.
