Coober Pedy welcomed me with another great start to the day and another great sunrise.
Today is more heading south and with that I am joined by my riding buddy. Together we ride across South Australia.
Past the wide open pasture lands and past the various lakes that I will need to look up the names of. .
I then turn off the Stuart Highway and head to Woomera. This is an interesting town that looks a bit like it was trapped in yesteryear. I would have really enjoyed a look through the museum had it been open. Here’s a few pictures of the displays around town.
From Woomera I headed to Port Augusta.
When talking to Deb she mentioned that Russell’s spot tracker showed that he was not far behind me. And not 30 mins later who turns up. It was good to catch up again after we separated ways at the the ways.
After a feed we put together a new plan and headed towards Broken Hill via Horrocks Pass. And no trip through Horrocks should be made without taking photo.
I can really see the attraction of Horrocks Pass – it’s the first serious set of corners from riding the centre or west. It’s as if they are saying … Welcome to the east.
From here we journeyed on into the night to Broken Hill.
Day 10 – 970km
Total – 7,296km
